Dominic Bostock
Dominic is Cormac’s Managing Director, leader of Cornwall Council’s highways, environment and civil engineering Teckal company, with 1,000 employees and £130m pa turnover. Before taking the position in 2020,
Dominic was Cormac's Commercial Director for over eight years, achieving growth which created the platform for a wider and more diverse client base. Dominic is the perfect hybrid of a business leader and public servant, passionate about delivering value for communities through collaboration, transformation of services, and use of the Teckal model.
His knowledge of building the largest and most mature Teckal highways business in the UK has made him known as 'Grandfather Teckal' in some circles! Driven by high levels of stakeholder and customer value creation,
Dominic is keen to socialise Cormac’s unique model, the 11 years’ experience as a Teckal company, and provide a case study for Highway Authorities who may be evaluating their service delivery model, whether that be transforming a DLO into a Teckal or “insourcing” services from private sector delivery into a Teckal.
Refreshing and thought-provoking Dominic will challenge audiences to think about doing things differently.
